Language learning, in particular, requires continuous practice. Since it is a process that relies on active participation on the part of the learner, do not expect to master the material simply by coming to class. In order to perform well in this course, your at-home effort is essential. (Workbook, quizzes, etc)

The focus of your attention should be on classroom activities while you are in class. Cellphones and outside reading materials are NOT allowed in class, as they limit your participation and are also generally disruptive and disrespectful.

The presence of any items such as these will lower your participation grade substantially.
